Bodbe, Signagi and winery
Kakheti region, located in Eastern part of Georgia. It is famous for its stunning landscapes and mesmerizing views and of course wine making traditors. Georgia is the birthplace of wine and the land where it has been made for the first time, at least 8.000 years ago. There is no other place in the world that has evidence of wine making been found dating back that far. Today wine is being made with the traditional method follows the same process Georgians developed for millennials. The first destinations of the trip is IX century’s Bodbe monastery complex, which once played a significant role in the history of Georgia and considered as a holy place nowadays. From where we head to Signagi – old trading town with 17th century’s defensive wall around. Cobbled streets and terra cotta tile-roofed homes with colorful carved balconies and breathtaking views of the Alazani Valley give it a very charming character.
The final destination is a wine-factory, where we’ll have wine tasting…
- Badiauri village, tasting local cheese and bread
- Bodbe Monastery complex
- Signagi, the city of LOVE
- Wine tasting
