Borjomi & Rabati

Borjomi is a balneological and climatic resort, located in south Georgia, surrounded by the forest. This place became well-known during Russians invasion due to its numerous mineral water, which have curable properties. Its warm climate, mineral water springs, and forests made Borjomi a favorite summer resort for the aristocracy, and gave it its popular name of “the pearl of the Caucasus”.
During the tour you’ll have opportunity to visit Borjomi historical park, try mineral water, have a ride on a historical cable car and enjoy the views from the top on old Borjomi.

After visiting Borjomi, you’ll head to Akhaltsikhe town. The name literary means “new castle”. This city has always been known as a place of multiculturalism, tolerance, and diversity. Georgians, Jews, Armenians and Turks have lived here side by side for centuries, and it is clearly reflected in the historical monuments of the town.

One of the main attractions of this town is the 9th century recently restored Rabati Castle. Its name comes from Arabic meaning “fortified place”. Due to its location, the castle can be seen from anywhere. Its architectural mixture definitely will attract your attention. 

After visiting Rabati, you’ll head back to Tbilisi.
